Elzeardo Bouffier: The man, who planted trees
( Issued by the BRITISH ART MEDAL SOCITY (BAMS),1991)
The, fictitious, story of Elzeard Bouffier moved Nicola Moss to create this
medal showing the man in a stark sun-baked landscape, bent over and planting
acorns. Bouffier, according to the story, believed that the land was dying because
of the lack of trees.
The medal, cast in bronze, measures 68mm.
